Karii is operated by [Company Name] ("we", "us", "our"). We are registered in South Africa. Contact us at privacy@karii.ai.
We collect your email address, name, CV content, job descriptions you paste or upload, AI-generated outputs (tailored CVs, cover letters, interview briefs, chat messages), voice recordings from mock interviews, and usage metrics. We do not collect payment information in the beta.
Your data is used solely to provide the Karii service: to generate AI feedback on your CV, tailor documents for specific jobs, run mock interviews, and power the Kāi chat. We do not sell your data. We do not use your data to train AI models without explicit opt-in consent.
We share data with: Anthropic (Claude AI — for CV analysis, job parsing, and chat); Deepgram (speech-to-text — for interview transcription); Supabase (database and storage); Vercel (hosting); Brave Search (company research for interview briefs). Each provider processes data under their own privacy policies.
Voice recordings from mock interviews are stored temporarily for transcription. They are automatically deleted after 7 days. You can request earlier deletion at any time from Settings.
Under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. You can export all your data from Settings → Export my data. You can delete your account and all associated data from Settings → Delete my account.
Your account data is retained until you delete your account. API usage logs are retained for 12 months for billing and audit purposes.
All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to production data is restricted to authorised engineers. We use Row-Level Security in our database to ensure users can only access their own data.
