Terms of Use

Last updated: 5 August 2026

The short version: Karii helps you prepare and apply — you stay in control and send every application yourself. Review AI output before you use it, keep your content honest, and treat the service fairly.

1. Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and RMexpertise Consultants (Pty) Ltd ("Karii", "we"). By creating an account or using karii.ai you accept them. If you are under 18, you may only use Karii with the consent of a parent or guardian.

2. What Karii is — and is not

Karii is an AI-powered job-hunting companion: it reviews and tailors your CV, drafts cover letters, researches companies, runs mock interviews, and tracks your applications. Karii is a preparation tool, not a recruitment agency: we never submit applications on your behalf, we do not guarantee interviews or job offers, and every application is sent by you, from the employer’s own channels.

3. Your account

You sign in with an email link and verify your account once by SMS. Keep your email account secure — anyone with access to it can access your Karii account. One account per person; you must provide accurate information.

4. Free and paid features

Karii is free to start, and several features stay free without limit — CV review and improvement, job search and tracking, company snapshots, and chatting with Kāi. Four features carry a free monthly allowance: one tailored application, one mock interview, one company brief and one Excel practice pack per calendar month, resetting on the 1st.

Beyond that allowance you can buy the Job-Hunt Pack (R249, unlimited use of those features for 90 days) or single credits pay-as-you-go (R19 for a tailored application, R29 for a mock interview or a company brief; credits do not expire). All purchases are one-time and processed by Paystack — there are no subscriptions and nothing renews automatically.

Fair use: so that one account cannot exhaust the service for everyone, generous daily limits and a monthly ceiling apply to AI-generated work even on the Job-Hunt Pack. Normal job-hunting will not reach them; if you do, contact us and we will sort it out.

If something goes wrong with a purchase, email support@karii.aiand we'll put it right. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act.

5. AI-generated content

Karii’s outputs are generated by AI and can be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. Always review a tailored CV or cover letter before sending it — it represents you, and you are responsible for making sure everything in it is true. Never let an application go out claiming experience you do not have.

6. Your content

Everything you upload stays yours. You give us only the licence needed to operate Karii for you (storing your CV, sending it to our AI providers to generate your results). AI-generated outputs are yours to use in your job search. Upload only content you have the right to use.

7. Acceptable use

Do not: use Karii to create false, misleading, or unlawful content; upload someone else’s personal information without their permission; probe, scrape, overload, or reverse-engineer the service; resell access; or circumvent usage limits. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service or put other users at risk.

8. Information about other people

Some Karii features research the employer you are applying to, and that research can include people who work there — an interview brief may name a company’s leadership, for example. We keep this narrow. We use only information already published about a person’s professional role: their name, their job title at that company, the function they lead, and what the published source says about them in that role. We do not collect or show anything about a named person’s private life or contact details, or any special category such as their health, race, religion, politics, trade-union membership or criminal history. Every name we show comes from a source we actually retrieved and is displayed with a link to it, so you can check it — we do not show a name we cannot point to a source for, and at present we do this only for roles based in South Africa. We do not build profiles of individuals, we do not sell this information, and it is never used to train AI models. It exists only inside the brief generated for you, and is deleted when you delete that job or your account. If you are named in a Karii brief and would like that corrected or removed, email privacy@karii.ai.

9. Availability and changes

Karii is under active development. Features may change or be improved over time, and occasional downtime can happen. We will not remove your data as part of a feature change without telling you.

10. Liability

Karii is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service — including hiring outcomes or decisions based on AI-generated content. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Ending the relationship

You can stop using Karii at any time and delete your account (and all your data) from Settings. We may close accounts that breach these terms; where reasonable, we will warn you first so you can export your data.

12. Privacy

How we handle your personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

13. Law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and South African courts have jurisdiction. If we materially change these terms, we'll tell you in the app or by email first. Questions: legal@karii.ai.
